Courses & workshops in Ticino
The art of natural sourdough bread
Learn to build your own sourdough starter, keep it alive day after day, and bake your own bread at home — by hand, with no professional equipment. Hands-on courses in Sant'Antonino, near Locarno and Bellinzona, in Italian, Spanish or English.
Why a course with me
Not just a recipe: a way of being
My sourdough starter began as a gift: a friend handed me a piece of hers — alive, already full of history. From there I learned, failing and trying again, to make real bread — slow, easy to digest, with a flavour no machine can imitate.
In my courses I don't just pass on a technique. I teach a small ritual that slows the pace down, a handmade gesture that becomes mindfulness, and the deep satisfaction of eating something you made yourself, from start to finish.
Everyone leaves with their own recipe and a piece of my sourdough starter to take home — so your baking begins the very next day.
The paths
Three courses, three experiences
Every course can be adapted to the group and the place. They take place in Sant'Antonino or, on request, at your own venue.
Bread made at home
For adults
A complete path for anyone who wants to learn to bake bread in their own kitchen. How to build and keep a sourdough starter alive, knead by hand without professional equipment, and bake in a home oven. Also an experience of wellbeing and mindfulness: slowing down, using your hands, rediscovering an authentic gesture.
- · Build and care for a starter
- · Mixing and folding by hand
- · Baking in a home oven
Hands in the dough!
Parents and children
A fun, sensory workshop to share as a family. Children touch, knead and discover where bread really comes from, while parents share an authentic moment with them, away from screens. Also available as a weekend morning course, designed for mums (and dads) with their little ones.
- · A sensory experience for the youngest
- · A family moment to share
- · Also weekend mornings
Mindful bread-making
Inclusion and community
A path designed for centres, schools and associations. Making bread together becomes a tool for occupational therapy and inclusion: manual work, focus, patience and the shared joy of a result made with your own hands. A simple, deeply human activity.
- · Occupational therapy and inclusion
- · For centres, schools and associations
- · Tailored to your group
